I haven’t been as productive with my creative pursuits as I’d like, so yesterday I implemented a 30 Day Quick Sketch Challenge to boost my output and get the creative juices flowing. I will be posting the sketches daily on my Facebook page below. I invite you to visit my page, take a look and cheer me on!

Of course this photo doesn’t do it justice, but the painting is finished! The handprints belong to my husband, his uncle, aunt, cousin, and myself. The heart was created by my husband’s curled hands. Everything else was painted by my right hand – no brushes were used, aside from for my signature.
It will be auctioned off in a couple of weeks in Texas at the Panola Conservatives women’s convention. I hate to say goodbye to it, but hope it does some good for my fellow Texans.
Texas, Our Texas
This is a canvas I just primed, smearing the paint on with my hands. Today, it looks nothing like it will tomorrow. Yes, I got a little wild with it… I suppose it’s because this is how I feel. Or how my life feels. A little wild, chaotic, colorful, and an unclear picture of tomorrow. I trust in the Master’s hand, though, and hopefully He will guide my hands tomorrow when I attempt to finish what I started. 😉
